Alex has 12 years of academic and more than 25 years of industrial experience comprising research on the molecular basis of immune recognition in the academic setting and antibody discovery, antibody engineering and development of commercial cell lines in the industrial setting. He had a 16-year career in R&D at GSK leading different groups including Antibody Engineering US, Cell Line Development US, and Host Cell Development. Prior to GSK, he pioneered antibody humanization technology while at Centocor (now Janssen/JnJ). He holds a Ph.D in molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Microbiology from the University of Montana.
